Recommend me anime.

Watch Neon Genesis Evangelion.  I like it and I'm not a fan of anime.  Except for the last episodes of it.  It's really messed up.

Other than that, I'd strongly recommend The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. It's a newly subbed movie and it's absolutely brilliant. If you don't watch it, you're missing out. Link to a topic I made about it.

I agree, definitely watch this anime. It's just brilliant. Other than that a few that come to mind are Neon Genesis Evangelion, Elfen Lied, Bleach, and Trigun.

Not from what I've seen, more like generic and undetailed.

Well, if you like Paranoia Agent, I would recommend Ergo Proxy, Ghost In the Shell, Serial Experiments Lain, and other high thinking stuff of the sort. Especially Ergo Proxy, it's one of my personal favorites.

Generally, though, my recommendations for "anime you'd be crazy not to like" Include Full Metal Panic, Cowboy Bebop, and Last Exile.

I'm not fan of anime, cept for Bebop, but I do remember watching another one when I was a kid. Esclafone or something like that. I was really interested in it, but I guess it got cancelled cause it had too much violence.sinistergoggles

Yep, Escaflowne, and the uncensored version is one of the best anime ever made. However, it kind of pushes the suspension of disbelief...even for a fantasy anime...

I heard Lain was one of those silly animes where they are constantly making up something random and stupid and pretending it means something deep, I can't stand that crap. I'll check out Boogiepop though.

It's got great, original style, great animation, great voice acting, great characters, and a cool story.
