Sticking to the topic of cIassic....
How about some old school metal like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. It's really more hard rock than metal these days considering how much heavier metal has gotten.
Others, Boston, Alice Cooper, Stevie Ray Vaughanm, April Wine, CCR, Cream, Neil Young, CSNY and Joe Satriani has some classic rock sounding stuff.
LOts more, but that's good enough for now.
It's like you took a VH1 Top 100 list and added the Dead Kennedys for laughs.AC/DC The Adicts Aerosmith Alice in Chains Allman Brothers Audioslave Beach Boys Beatles Black Sabbath Blue Oyster Cult Bob Marley Bruce Springsteen Cheap Trick Clapton The Clash Cream David Bowie Dead Kennedys Deep Purple The Doors Drowning Pool Foghat Grateful Dead Green Day Guns N' Roses Iron Maiden Jane's Addiction Jimi Hendrix Led Zeppelin Living Colour Lynyrd Skynyrd Metallica Nirvana Ozzy Osbourne Pantera Pink Floyd Queen Rage Against The Machine The Ramones Rancid Rolling Stones Sex Pistols Slayer Soundgarden Stone Temple Pilots Sublime Tom Petty &; The Heartbreakers The Who Thin Lizzy Transplants Van Morrison Velvet Revolver Weezer White Stripes
