Right now I'm getting into NOFX and Rise Against (but not their crappy new album). Some other good reccomendations would be appreciated, preferrably with meaningful lyrics. Not just "anarchy yay!" stuff.

Its not all 100% punk, but its punkish for the most part. Hope you enjoy
not all of their songs are punk, but check out deadboy and the elephantmen. LoG-Sacrament
I think I am in love with their drummer. Cute girl with short hair...and she plays drums.

Sorry buddy. That was quickly off my head, I'll save some for you next time : )How about rush and metalica?x360ownaAhhh...seeing how they aren't punk.....yes good picks haha j.k.
In my experience there's not a lot of good punk bands out there, but try The Misfits, The Cramps, Dead Kennedys, and The Clash. Also if you feel like trying Crust Punk, which I feel is far better than most punk, try Skitsystem, Iskra, Coffins, and definitely Amebix.
[QUOTE="Oblivionfan10"]Let's go back in time.... Sex Pistols /threadTriumph_UnitedMeh I'm not a fan either, I just thought I'd recommend the only punk band on my iPod
If you like punk, I holeheartedly recommend checking out AFI. Don't be fooled by their newest material, everything they made from the very beginning up to Sing the Sorrow is top-notch hardcore punk. Their best albums in my opinion are Black Sails in the Sunset, The Art of Drowning, and Sing the Sorrow.
Bad Brains most definitely
Also try Discharge, Driller Killer, Black Flag, Amebix, The Undead, The Exploited, and Sheer Terror
Linkin Park is my favorite...considered alternative rock...but punk rock is pretty much replaced by that genre...or maybe:
Iggy Pop!!
