I recently started listening to The Beatles for the first time so I was wondering if you guys could recommend me some your favorite songs by the band? So far I really really like Hey Jude.

For albums try Sgt. Peppers, Abbey Road, Rubber Soul and Revolver. And for songs, In My Life, A Day In The Life, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Norwegian Wood, Tomorrow Never Knows, and Here Comes The Sun. There's more, but I don't feel like typing them all out.
I also just recently got into The Beatles, my favorites so far are:
Out of what I've heard, Across The Universe, Come Together and Eleanor Rigby are the only songs that aren't desperately boring.PraiseMuOrNone of their songs are desperately boring IMO.
I've Just Seen A Face
Can't Buy Me Love
Across The Universe
I want to hold your hand.
A Hard Days Night.
Love me Do
Octupuss' garden.
Hey Jude
Come together.
Long Tall Sally (Cover)
Here comes the Sun (So beautiful)
Twist and Shout.
Back in the USSR
Hey if you want a more modern take on some of these songs check out the soundtrack for Across the Universe. Some of them sound so good.

Agreed completely. To fully appreciate a band, you need to listen to the actual albums, not just random assortments of songs.Just like most other music that's worthwhile, get the albums, don't just download individual songs like a spastic 14-year-old girl discovering Nsync.

Here's a few of my favorites:
She Said, She Said
I've Got a Feeling
I'm Only Sleeping
Please Mr. Postman
You've Got to Hide Your Love Away
Michelle
Rocky Raccoon
Roll Over Beethoven
Happiness is a Warm Gun
A Day in the Life
I Want You (She's So Heavy)
I'm a Loser
you really can't go wrong with whole albums. Try to get a hold of Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Peppers, The Beatles(White Album), and Abbey Road......
Here are some of my favorite songs:
Because
Dear Prudence
Blackbird
Drive My Car
Happiness is a Warm Gun
Strawberry Fields Forever
the Abbey Road Medley( first Part) (Second Part)
I would recommend getting their album "1". Its sort of a collection of about 30 or so of their #1 hits. So the songs in that album are probably the most famous Beatles songs.
Nice list. ^^ Don't you just love the power in Paul's voice, in Oh! Darling? (edit: On second thought, it's hard not to make a good list when it comes to the beatles :P)I also just recently got into The Beatles, my favorites so far are:
- Something
- A Day in The Life
- While My Guitar Gently Weeps
- Hey Jude
- Eleanor Rigby
- I Am The Walrus
- Yesterday
- Oh! Darling
- I've Just Seen a Face
- Dear Prudence
SaintLeonidas
Anyways, You can't really go wrong with Sg. Pepper and Abbey Road, in my opinion.
