I kinda grew out of death metal as I got older, but try Deicide and Morbid Angel. Listen to the song from Morbid Angel called "God of ". It is my favorite song from them. My favorite band while growing up was Slayer. I also liked Metallica, but they sold out and their last good album was "And Justice For All". Anything nwer than that from them sucks.

Check out Entombed, their first album "Left Hand Path" is awesome aswell as the albums "To Ride Shoot Straight and Speak the Truth" and "Morning Star".

I'm bad at describing how they sound but check there songs out; Left Hand Path, Cheif Rebel Angel(live) from the "Morning Star" Album. Have Fun. :)

Augury. Not enough people listen to these guys...Anomalous, Appalling Spawn, Lytkathea Aflame, Cynic, Impetigo, Intestine Baalism, Baroness (sorta...), Kronos, Negativa, Tholus, and a dozen or so other bands that border on melo-death.

Just trying to cover what hasn't been hit yet.

You really need to listen to Death if you don't already. Some other bands would be Deicide, Carcass, Cannibal Corpse, Goatwhore, Morbid Angel, Hypocrisy, Entombed, Amon Amarth, Cryptopsy, Gorguts, Immolation, Suffocation, Celtic Frost, Zyklon, Belphegor. You might even like some melodeath stuff like Dark Tranquility or Soilwork.

The Hardest metal act i've ever heard was from Michael Buble. If you want to hear a good song, look for Feeling Good. :)

Kataklysm! A new band, Droid, may be considered death metal. They're heavy, for sure. DevilDriver's pretty good, too.

I like Arch Enemy but i'm not sure if they are Death Metal, some of you guys wrote Cannibal Corpse, i think that is brutal or gore metal.

What about WINTERSUN, have you ever listen one of their songs? They are awesome, so melodic yet so Death Metal, i recommend this band a lot you can check their video in youtube.

Fekete Sereg is pretty ok. I'm not so much a fan of death metal though. Butterfly Temple is folk metal but you'd probablly still like 'em.

Oh and don't forget Carcass... the early work is more of goregrind...the latter (like Heartwork) is melodic death metal.
