Summary:
RED FRIDAYS ----- Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing
Red every Friday. The reason? Americans who support our troops used to
be called the 'silent majority'. We are no longer silent, and are
voicing our love for God, country and home in record b reaking numbers.
We are not organized, boisterous or over-bearing.. We get no liberal
medi a coverage on TV, to reflect our message or our opinions. Many
Americans, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to recognize
that the vast majority of America supports our troops.
Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity
and respect starts this Friday -and continues each and every Friday
until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that.. Every
red-blooded American who supports our men and women afar will wear
something red.
By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make the United States on every
Friday a sea of red much like a homecoming football game in the
bleachers.
If every one of us who loves this country will share this with
acquaintances, co-workers, friends, and family. It will not be long before the
USA is covered in RED and it will let our troops know the
once 'silent' majority is on their side more than ever; certainly more
than the media lets on.

Thats better I'll participate tommorow
Okay, so is this about people who support the war in Iraq or those who are against it?THE_DRUGGIE
It has nothing to do with the war, it has to do with supporting the troops.

It has nothing to do with the war, it has to do with supporting the troops.
Well, I'm not exactly sure what that means...

...are you serious? There's no hidden meaning there. It's for people that support the young men and women that are in the military, the people that sign up and lay down their life for freedom.

So then it would be about the ones currently fighting, which would then mean it's about supporting the war. Unless if by supporting, you mean that you want them home so they can be with their families, thus making it about being against the war.
Or is this like some Veteran's Day type of deal where its about anyone who served in the military at any time, period?

Isn't it also about the sacrifice that soldiers have to deal with when they fight for our freedom as well?

Supporting the soldiers currently fighting has nothing to do with supporting the war. The soldiers over there are following orders, nothing more and nothing less. It's about supporting our servicemembers. Why is this such a difficult concept for you?

Sorry about all that.
