EPIC WIN. Period. I have his autograph actually since I went to spring training last year. I just wish he could have done that last week in Baltimore when I was there. Actually that was the same game where Manny caught that one at the wall and hi fived the fan.
We have the best starters in the league. Beckett as the ace, DiceK, Buchholz, and Lester. That latter of the two who are still really young and will be around for awhile if they keep going at this pace. I can't believe I missed the game though.

When you combine the rotation with are bullpen and lineup, yes. Plus Schilling should be good to go by the playoffs.
edit: and don't forget about Wakefield. He hasn't had a good start but he still has a while to get in a groove.
[QUOTE="rockets_mcgrady"][QUOTE="IrishPunk"]Best starters? Are you kidding me? Dice-K is a good pitcher no doubt, but he is massively overrated. His tendencies to give up the walk will eventually catch up to him...the Jays have the best rotation IMO followed by Arizona...We have the best starters in the league. Team ERA:
Toronto - 3.71 (2nd in MLB)
Arizona - 3.55 (1st in MLB)
Boston - 4.21 (9th in MLB)
WHIP:
Toronto: 1.30 (9th in MLB)
Arizona: 1.25 (6th in MLB)
Boston: 1.45 (20th in MLB)
The stats don't lie...and I highly doubt Schilling or Wakefield would put up sub-4 ERAs.
Good to see that he's fully recovered from his battle with cancer. famicommanderIts amazing, when i first heard he had cancer they said on the news that he might never pitch again or that he might die but look at him now,he pitched a no hitter!

Way to compare two stats to see how good a team's pitching is. Alright let me just take back what I said originally and just come out with what I meant to say: the Red Sox are the best team in the league.
I hate the SAWKS, but I paint my entire body red when they play the Yankees.
Since I can't brag about what my Texas Rangers will do, I'll just throw it out there that Josh Hamilton is just straight murdering the ball like no one else right now.
pff. red sox. im not a fan of them ever since tim wakefield yelled at me when i was 10. ateace3
I refuse to believe that. If you had said any other pitcher, I would easily believe you, but Wake? No way...no way in HELL.
As good as he pitched, he got a lot of helpSaintLeonidasThat's not a bad thing. A no hitter is a team effort. The team got runs to help him get the win and they played great defense. And Lester is on my fantasy team so the no hitter helped. Lester was actually at my job (Costco) on Friday but I didn't see him. I was somewhere else in the store at the time.
Though I hate them, it's really hard to go against the Cubs right now...they've been so hot as of late.Way to compare two stats to see how good a team's pitching is. I'll care when they get 26 rings, and yes, I'm a diehard Yankees fanmfrank0607Stop living in the past. The modern era in baseball began in 1900. As far as I'm concerned the new modern era began in 2000 and since then the Sox are ahead of the Yankees 2-1 in World Series Championships. Just because your team stinks now doesn't mean you have to keep mentioned what your team did in the last century.

The Yankees will still make the playoffs, it doesn't help that we have mediocre pitching, A-Rod and Posada being hurt among other things

Agreed being only 45 games in the season, it's hard to count any team out as of now. Please Log In to post.
