Hello,

Please think Twice !!

Please give me your honest opinion, regardless of what you believe, even if your country/state doesn't have the death penalty, pretend that you committed this crime in somewhere which has this penalty.

PEACE^^

Im a bit indecisive on this issue because I believe that it is not right to follow an eye- for - eye type mentality on crime. Im against killing someone who killed. But at the same time some people do need to die, especially those in power who are able to command a massive killing, for example, If we had caught Hitler I would want him to die.

Yeah ... but regarding this poll, it has nothing to do with your belief, it is merely the actual thing ... you killed someone .... which will u fear most ?? there is no room to be idealistic in that case .... personally I would fear the death penalty ... I believe if everyone thought twice ..... they will vote death penalty ... thanks for coming by anyway ...... I forgot his name ?? the Taichou ... anyway .. he is with aizen . ...

Depends if life is actually for the duration of your life, if it is then I'd fear that more

Ideally the life sentence would be scarier, but in the real world murderers are released after 15-30 years, so...

Well....I'd prefer death penalty rather then life in prison, but since I'm in canada...under good behaviour, I'd be out in 5 years.

If there's no chance of parole or rehabilitation then i would prefer having the death penalty for sure. I'm against the death penalty, but a life sentance without parole or rehabilitation is utterly pointless for me, the state and the justice system.

More scared of life. I can deal with death, I don't want to, but if necessary I can, However, at 18 years old I absolutely cannot deal with the prospect of life in prison.

If I were in the situation (which I doubt I'll ever be in), I'd choose Life Sentence.    You only get to live once and that's it.

Until the day when prison is unbearably misarable for the worst elements and they must endure back breaking labor every day for the rest of their lives, I'll support the death penalty.

They should give a really old penalty as an intermediate: Cut off the hand of a murderer or one of his limbs. That way he's taught a lesson and doesn't lose his life.

Death Penalty. Death is not so bad though. I have no fear of death. It just means dreaming in silence. A dream that lasts for eternity :D

Killing a human is wrong period, it sends the message to socioty that killing, a lack of mercy, and violence are acceptable within socioty

I'd go with life, hopefully I can do something productive in prison, and may eventually get paroled....

Death. Most of the time, particuarly in the UK, life doesnt mean life. The chance of actually getting a life sentence shattered a few years ago when the Home Secretary was no longer able to enforce a minimum sentence to serial killers. Most of the time it is 20 years prison, maybe less depending on behaviour. Death, on the other hand, ends your life. And that's worse.

Darn tootin'.

Life? More like 15 years...and then there's good behaviour...and an early plea of guilt...

Actually, make that more like 15 minutes.

The death penalty is a reward. It free's criminals from a lifetime of suffering they would have had if given a life sentence. It also costs more to put a criminal on death row than to give them a life sentence. Criminals who bring suffering unto another (or others) should suffer in return. And do not give me that whole "they will burn in Hell" hoopla... that is a matter of faith... not to mention, many who have died by the hands of the death penalty were innocent.

The decline of western industrialized society is becoming so apparent now it is almost laughable.

If you look at the number of people who have been successfully convicted and sentenced to death, compared to those innocent ones...well, it's pretty much the same as the number of those wrongly sent to prison for life...the last one of those was about 30 years ago.

And being put to death isn't a reward; it is the ultimate humiliation.

P.S. Don't hurt me. These are my opinions and those are yours.  :P

I wouldn't make any good use my whole life in jail. A whole life is a long time to spend in jail, so I prefer shortening it to death sentence. I get my own room and stuff, pluss a good last meal.
