remember when there were only 150 pokemon?

those were the days... back in elementary school. glitching to fight missingo and getting 99 rare candies... stealing my friends Hypno card... hoping i would get Charizard in those 10 card packs... those little blue stones that came with the starter packs... good times.

It was good till people started stealing my damn pokemon cards :x

the pokerap.... I dont see how people still like pokemon theres like 1000now,ash still helps people in 99% of teh episodes instead of catching and battleing pokemon

I still like the games, I skipped the 3rd generation , but I loved the Diamond version. I think it was more nostalgia factor than anything, seeing as I hadn't played pokemon in years and I had lots of fond memories of the first and second generation, but still... :P

More like epic times. I love the original 151 Pokemon to no end. They remain some of my favorite games and probably one of the best times of my life. Definitely the best time of my childhood. Just played the games for hours and was fascinated by it. The cards were just as fun to collect as well.

Because you couldn't catch Mew, the only way to get him was getting it from Nintendo (I hate that stupid trend with the ultra-rare legendary pokemon, every pokemon should be in the game, not everyone lives in New York or Tokyo...) or with the missingno glitch.

I only remember when there were 150. I was so close to having all of the cards and such then they were like, "wait! We have made 500 new pokemon!" This traumatized me as a child and forever turned me off the pokemon

I don't know if this is the same glitch, but there's one you can do in Cerulean City. It's pretty simple to do, and I've been doing it for awhile now to obtain Mew. I don't think it involves Missingno at all, but I could be mistaken.

I think you're right, the Mew glitch is the one in Cerulean, and it has nothing to do with missingno... It's been a while...

The original 150 were the best, then there was Mew, who was just BADASS.

And I remember Missingo.

I caught one, and it corrupted my record...

No idea, but I got my Mew from a bookstore. My mother got it for me.

I don't have it anymore, but it was available as some sort of deal at bookstores in my local area.

Am I the only one who liked G/S/C more than the original games?

There were more pokemon which didn't suck yet, a whole new area to explore, better graphics, more stuff to do, and being able to go back to Kanto, fight all of the original gym leaders and see all the places you remembered was just the ultimate in fan service.

Crystal was definitely my favorite pokemon game. :P

NOOB!! lol yeah those were the days!! some from my class just started playing the original games from the gameboy(but now on their laptops) in classe and it just brings back memories...those were the days when you sat like 8 ppl and playing pokemon on your gameboys! just epic! i actually also just saw some of the old episodes on the internet just to see if it was just as good as i remembered it;) but well it kinda when back hill when there started coming more than the original 151 pokemons

why does everyone complain about more pokemon? should the series have stopped with the original 151? pokemon diamond would have been boring training the SAME pokemon AGAIN for the 10th time.
