McCain is against creationism in schools. It seems like a small topic anyway, I mean who doesn't know about it? Everybody. And who believes in it? Nobody. So what's it matter if it's in school or not?

Very odd, looking into Palin's background theres quite a few unsettling things in there. She fires people for rather...peculiar reasons. Hell she tried to fire the town librarian for not complying with her demand to remove books from a public library.

Link? I have to say I would look negatively on removing stuff from libraries. I liked how she sold her appointed personal jet on eBay.

She is a great woman and has a great personal story (and so does my mom!), but definitely not the best choice within the Republican party. John McCain chose Pailn for two reasons:
1.) To appeal to Hilary voters.
2.) To add excitement to the campaign.

This is about policies. I agree with Obama's much more than I do McCain's.

Sorry if its a bit long.

The tax information in there is a bit lacking, but at least the author acknowledges this.

Yeah that was cool. But all of the positive and negative personal stories don't mean anything to me if I don't agree with all of the issues.

BTW she is being ivestigated for the firing of some guy for not doing what she wanted. They said she abused her powers or something.

Voters nowadays are blind. they vote and listen blindfolded from all the lies thatsurroundthem. Theyre like "oh shes a woman, lets vote for mccain now"!!

they hit the nail on the head when they said that the campaign went for the "narrative" because there are much more qualified women republicans. Like Christine Todd Whitman.

I disagree, I think the woman factor helped but look at it this way.

What did McCain Need?

He needed someone young to stand beside him and make him look less like the Cryptkeeper.

He needed someone CONSERVATIVE, with Rush and Anne Clouiter screaming about how they would sooner support Hillary who was more a Conservative then McCain he NEEDED to playcate the base of his party

He needed someone who was not a Washington insider, if he really wanted to run on his "Maverick" record he couldn't add another "Good Ol' Boy" to the ticket

And most importantly he needed someone POPULAR, and lets face it with the Democratic dominated Congress and Senate both polling at record low approval rates and the general distain for President Bush this one would be tricky.

That left two candidates, Bobby Jindal and Sarah Palin.

Jindal would have been the better choice, but that opens the door for countless attacks on the Bush Administrations handling of Katrina by running with the Governor of Louisiana,

Honestly I think Palin will help McCain with Rural America, rather then with former Hillary Supporters. The Democrats have had issues with Rural America in the last two elections, even Gore couldn't even carry his home state of Tennessee in 2000. Rural America is the reason Bush got two terms, and I was rather surprised that the Democrats didn't try and make some sort of inroads with a VP pick.

Depends how you look at it. :P

Well, to the TC, I am against most of Palin's values, considering some of them don't even make sense (no sex ed in school? Even after her daughter got knocked up?). However, I am sure there is someone out there who agrees with her.
