I saw Requiem for a Dream back in August for the first time...I loved it, but it's probably the single most depressing thing I've ever seen. I own it, but I probably won't ever go back and watch it again.I always get bummed out whenever I think about it. I know it's just a movie, but psychology is weird like that.

Anyways, ever seen a movie that you couldn't watch again? Not because it sucked...I've seen plenty of those. :P

I wouldn't go so far as saying I'd never see it again, but another film that leaves you feeling depressed is Apocalypse Now.

A lot of movies about war and/or the Holocaust are like that. Saving Private Ryan and Full Metal Jacket are amazing, groundbreaking movies, but it is hard to sit and watch through them again.

Requiem For A Dream is depressing on unpresidented levels. But afew others come close :

Amores Perros

Babel

Last Exit To Brooklyn

But really they don't come close to the hopelessness at the end of Requiem For A Dream.

I saw Year of the Dog, or something like that, with my sister. I wasn't expecting it to be one of these movies.
