If you have never heard of Restless Legs Syndrome - It sucks. Usually your Legs, or sometimes Arms - maybe Both, Will uncontollably have this urge to Jitter or Twitch.

A lot of people take Meds like Valium or Xanax to help - but what sometimes, It just adds More misery if those Meds dont work. They'll usually just make you More tired and u still cant sleep due to ur legs jumping around in bed.!! Errr - its miserable.

Any of u experience that ? ?

Hmm, although tI do have this habit where I can't sit still on my legs for long and have to shake them. I just pretend I am doing double bass drumming. :P

I'm pretty sure every cricket has it.

I'm sorry, I rarely ever get to use that family guy reference.

I've got it. I went to a sleep clinic like 3 times to get tested. It was weird they hooked up these things all over my legs and head and it showed how my legs were moving and how my brain was working, and they showed how there is different stages of sleep and a certain one was dreaming. I ended up getting really deep sleep past the dream level. Anyways they gave me these sleeping pills. They were the smallest pills I've seen in my life, I take half o.O. Um WTF? Half of this tiny thing " I wonder If I even get drowsy?" I thought. Well I was passed out within 20 minutes, slept for 16 hours. I woke up with a almost hangover like drowsiness. It was horrible. I still felt like I was tired. I tried it again the day after and it did the same. I couldn't take them. I now self medicate and I'm cured. I don't feel it at all, even when I don't have my medicine. It relaxes my muscles.

It doesn't happen to me a whole lot, but every once in awhile my leg or arm will spasm when I'm in bed. I don't think it's quite what you're describing though. that sounds really annoying and disruptive.

I don't think so. It's more of a feeling. Like mine feels like all my right leg muscles are tightening up and contracting. And it does not feel good. So I flex my leg muscles over and over or rub my leg. Which usually make me move my leg.

Also some people feel more of a creepy crawly bug on their leg. Or some other sort of feeling.

When it gets Too bad for me - even after the medications , I'll get up and Do Pushups or Lift Small 5lbs weights as much as possible and Do Flutter kicks or Squats. Typically helps a little - then try some Mental Blocking..

Oh-It depends. Kind of a long story too. I have meds for Back pain, and because its So strong and Highly Physically addicting - coming off causes some serious side effects/ withdraw symptoms. One being Restless Body Twitching. I feel it all over - and not just in my legs. I may take Valium for a typical night or Xanax for really Rough Nights. But until the Meds truely kick in , I have to get up and exercise and Pray (literally) that I can get to sleep.

its a syndrome they made up to sell a drug that happens to work on it. they were researching a cure for cancer but found out all it does is make it hard to move your arms and legs so they came up with the syndrome to market it against.

I get it whenever i take too much Benadryl.

now before you jump to conclusions let me clarify.

about once a month for a couple days, i get this huge allergy attack, where i sneeze, and have a runny nose all day, itchy eyes, the works. nothing really helps me, i tried Zyrtec, singulair, etc. to no avail.

so what ive found that helps it be more tolerable is taking Benadryl. I dont over do it. i take 3 or 4 every 5 or so hours, instead of 2(2 does absolutely nothing). by the end of the day, the benadryl has built up in my system and i end up with restless legs and cant sleep. i hate it.

I get that sometimes I think. My legs just feel very jittery and like the blood is rushing through them. I usually just stretch them out real good and that'll alleviate the uncomfortableness for awhile. I can probably attribute my problems to being lazy :P

My girlfriend's mom has it really bad. Keeps her up at night. She told me that the only way to really get rid of it is to pull her legs up, like your sitting indian style, but while laying down, and keep them pressed up against her. Has to really suck, she wakes up like every 2-3 hours because of it.

yes :x the only way i can get rid of it is to stretch my legs out really hard, but as soon as you relax again it comes back, if you try to resist stretching or moving it just gets worse and worse :(.

I don't know, although my legs hurt if I try to sleep.I need to constantly switch positions but it starts hurting again everytime.I've been having this for over 5 years.

Maybe it is restless legs syndrome.
