I've recently been forced by the bank to acquire a Visa Card with an RFIDchip, instead of my good old one, even though I wanted to keep the old. First they froze my old card, which doesn't reallyexpire until 2012, so I had to use the new card I had been given by mail. I then called them and said I wanted to use the old card, but no go, and they wouldn't send me a card without this chip.

So why don't I want to use this new chip, simple, inconvenience, I like to drag my card, rather than putting it some slot, I always manage to put the card in the wrong way :x

Either way, I was told that this new card is much safer for me, as a customer, when I asked why they couldn't give me an answer, then I said I didn't care if it was safe I wanted be able to use my old card, but no go.

So my question is, are these new cards with a chip, safer, any why?

They can locate it at all times in case you lose it or it gets stolen --- or for any other reason.

So they can locate me?

Now that's comforting

And the fact that I didn't even have a choice is disturbing, weird that there isn't more discussions regarding this.

And how is it safer for me, If I notice that my card is missing, I will just call and freeze it, so it has no significance for me if they can find the card or not. Also the criminals using the card is also aware of this, and will ofc just throw the card away after he/she has used it in an ATM.

The whole point of RFID chips is that they're trackable. That is the only reason you've now got an RFID chip (because I think there's no other reason).

Isn't the RFID chip banned in some states, that would be comforting to know if true.

thats the purpose of the RFID chips, its to track people. They plain on implementing them into us to keep track of us. Basically the Bible defines it as the "mark of the beast". But thats another story, dont want to hijack thread.

If they start with RFID in humans I will personally plot to assassinate several politicians who are for this.

I was talking in the event of which everyone in my country would be forced to have one, then they couldn't really enforce more Rfids.

Yes, you get rid of the problem.

The world isn't a joy ride, you can't solve everything with flower power. When the Germans occupied our country, should we just have written some whimpsy protests, or do sabotage and fight for our rights?

They (military industrial complex) always want the two to fight. It's about communication (German citizens were plagued by propaganda)....if all were to unite being one. We could do "whimpsy" protests and win, if only they would circulate (in one piece, not twisted truth) around the globe.

You assume that you could get everyone (or a whole lot)to protest, which is highly questionable as most people don't want to risk everything to try and make the world a better place. People are selfish and prefer to live in their own little bubble, so a few protesters won't do much good.

Besides, if RFID in humans were to happen, you can bet your ass, that most would just accept it, and think they are safer.

The lack of media cover on this topic is rather disturbing, I mean here in Norway, I haden't even heard of RFID in credit cards untill I got one in the mail. One would think that something as drastic as this would be something the mainstreammedia would at least give some attention

True, which is why we need a paradox shift.

This chip theoretically is digital slavery. The vast majority of the mainstream media are owned by private corporations, who generate propaganda to further their agenda. Lots of manipulation is involved...

Stuff like this is a big reason I believe in limited government, some of the worst things in history have happened for the idea of the "common good" Id rather just have government leave me alone completely, I trust business far more.

The problem isnt necessarily the corporations, I mean the government is in on it too. The problem is the fact that big business and government have become the same thing in this country. What do you think corporations would be like if the government COULDNT help them out?

I wouldn't be surprised if the corporations already owned all the governments. It's like the mafia, but all the criminals have Einstein IQ.
