Being famous long after my death isn't really on my list of priorities (neither much while alive either) I would on the other hand, like money,..
Im currently well on my way to being a poor nobody that nobody is going to remember so i'll take whichever i can get as they are both better than what i have.
Wait. If you were a poor nobody exactly how would you be remembered for eternity?KrunkMastaXWhile not really a nobody during his time, Mozart was pretty poor when he died.
Wait. If you were a poor nobody exactly how would you be remembered for eternity?KrunkMastaXYou don't know much about history, do you?
Money does not equal happiness. I could be perfectly happy without any money or material possession. ferrari2001Says the Ferrari...

I'm the cheaper model! :) It doesn't look cheap to me.:) That's my good buddy ferrari2002 who was kind enough to pose for a picture.[QUOTE="ferrari2001"][QUOTE="DigitalExile"]Says the Ferrari...

Wait. If you were a poor nobody exactly how would you be remembered for eternity?KrunkMastaXVan Gogh wasn't rich... or even respected... when he was alive. People will remember his name, discuss his life, and buy his work for another 200 years too... which is more than I can say for someone like Will Smith, Will Ferrel, or Bo Williams.
That's my good buddy ferrari2002 who was kind enough to pose for a picture. You couldn't get a newer model than that.:P I don't know any of the rich stuck up ferrari's who like to go clubbing and cruise around town like they are all high and mighty. If I did they definitely would have been in my picture.[QUOTE="ferrari2001"][QUOTE="Aspen706"] It doesn't look cheap to me.:)

Money can prevent unwanted struggles though. I highly doubt that you'll much care about being famous once you're gone.

Why doubt it, thats what I want. There's something to be said for possibly not really being physically able to care about much at all once one passes from this world. I could be wrong though.
If you do something at the right time nobody will ever take that away from you. It is a bit impersonal but others don't get it.

To be fair, a person could derive satisfaction while they were still living from the knowledge that they would be remembered after they died.
I'd rather be at peace and happy while I'm alive, so neither.
Both of your options are irrelevant to me because I think money and fame do not constitute happiness; there are far more important things in life. And while it would be nice to be remembered for my work for centuries to come, the problem is I won't know about it either way once I'm dead, and somehow the thought of being remembered when I'm gone doesn't quite cut it for me when faced with the thought of nothingness, the thought that I'll cease to exist.
However, for the sake of your poll, I'll go with option two. :P
It's gotta be poor and remembered!
Your average famous/rich person eventually turns into a self obsessed a-hole. I can't be dealing with turning into paris hilton.
