Your friend is talking about Carlos Slim. It's debatable, but some are saying that he has more money than Bill Gates. Either way, they could live their lives plenty of times over and not run low on money.
Theres a Spanish guy that owns a ton if not all of the major markets/business in the country of mexico. If so then he is the richest. Bill Gates is Top 5 for sure though. Warren Buffett might be richer then Gates. He donated more money to charities; 37 billion compared to Gate's 30 billion.

we actually did some math in one of my classes and we figured out that if Bill Gates litterally spent a dollar a second for the rest of his life he would still not even come close to running out of money
