wait i actually enjoyed the second 1, not as good as the first but it was good fun, loving the trailer but the nagging thought whats going through my head is that the second film ended with him being the king of a whole race of people, i want that story back. but will see how this new one plays out.
my guess is that the first 15 minutes or so of this movie will give an explanation on what happened at the end of the 2nd film.wait i actually enjoyed the second 1, not as good as the first but it was good fun, loving the trailer but the nagging thought whats going through my head is that the second film ended with him being the king of a whole race of people, i want that story back. but will see how this new one plays out.

1:13 in the trailer, actually.
Looking forward to it. I'm a pretty big Vin Diesel fan, despite his not being a very good actor. Maybe part of me just enjoys the 80s feel of a musclebound badass spouting off one-liners.Canvas_Of_FleshI think he's a good actor. Just not so great in the films he plays in atm. He was great in Boiler Room.
They had to convince a publisher to take it up. If it wasn't for Vin Diesel holding onto it and pushing for it, it never would have happened. He kept the movie chances alive when no one else wanted to. And personally I'm glad he did.Awesome but why did they wait 13 years to make it?

Doesn't he own the company that made the Chronicles of Riddick games or something?Awesome but why did they wait 13 years to make it?

He owns a film production company which in turn owns Tigon Studios, who had a hand in the Riddick games.
Tigon has been silent for about 4 years. Apparently they're still running. If they're not working on the games they revealed, my guess is they're doing post-production work on Riddick and other movies Diesel produces.
