One of, if not the greatest boxer of all time.
Boxing was in a better place when he made his comeback in the late 80's compared with recent times and I think that's why the popularity of other contact sport(s) has gained such popularity.
RIP George Foreman.
One of the top five greatest heavyweight boxers of all time, if not top three. And arguably the hardest puncher of all time. If it wasn't for his loss to Muhammad Ali, a prime Foreman would've dominated the heavyweight division in his time or any other era.
But Foreman's greatest boxing feat was when he came out of retirement as a middle-aged man in his 40s to become the oldest heavyweight champion ever. He still had a lot of power, so much so that even a prime Mike Tyson was scared to face an old Foreman.
And then there's the Foreman grill, which revolutionized grilling. He turned out to be a brilliant entrepreneur on top of being an all-time great boxer.
My mom bought one of his outdoor/indoor grills about 5 years ago. Definitely love it oppose to using a BBQ grill with charcoal and making a mess. I never saw him box growing up as I never was a boxing fan. Though checked out his fights and he clearly was talented in the ring especially coming back in his 40's. Enjoyed his cameo in King of The Hill which is how I heard about him and the Foreman grill. RIP George Foreman.
