It's Batman again, this time looking like he doesn't lift.

Our first official look at Robert Pattinson as Batman is finally here.

The Batman is one of Warner Bros. and DC’s most anticipated films and now that director Matt Reeves has rounded out his cast, the film has officially started to move forward. Eagle-eyed fans have snuck a few pictures from the set of The Batman, but those were for early prep shots as filming hadn’t officially begun. With production now underway on The Batman, Warner Bros. and DC are holding no punches.

Today, Matt Reeves officially revealed our first look at Robert Pattinson in his Batman suit. The suit features an Arkham-ish design and fans will quickly notice that it doesn’t come equipped with white eyes.

*shrug* It's really not much to go on with this. I guess I'll just have to wait for more footage.

Was watching Fury Road again last month and thought to myself how small this film's Catwoman (Ms. Kravitz) looked next to Charlize Theron. I always thought of Catwoman as a taller woman.

I'm actually rather optimistic about Battinson. Michael Keaton, Christian Bale and Ben Affleck would not have been anyone's first choices for previous versions of Batman, and they all turned out pretty good. Even George Clooney wasn't bad - it's just his movie was.

Christian bale was best batman. good luck for them trying to be better. but he will sure be better than ben affleck. the worst batman ever.

although i dont like his voice change when he don the batsuit.

This Batman is supposed to be much younger. This is one of the storyline of Batman where Cobblepot was Batman's friend and Falcone was the crime boss in Gotham.

This feels like movie version of Batman telltale series and I already played the game so I know half the stuff that is probably going to happen. I feel like there was a specific reason they chose Pattison?

Hold on to judging his take on the role until I see the movie.

Still I really hope he has put on some muscle.

Pattinson is very obviously a good actor, he's just been tarred as Twilight man. Like Batfleck any problems will most likely be around him then he, himself.

Batflecks suit had the opposite problem, it was like watching the Michelin Man.

To me Returns is still the best suit (and car), even though the poor bugger can't turn his kneck. They've gotten increasingly over-designed.

Not bad but, I would much rather if Robert Pattinson be playing as Terry McGinnis in a Batman Beyond film. He much fits that as Terry in my opinion. And have Michael Keaton play old Bruce Wayne in the process.

I don't think it's necessary to be better than past versions of the character; Pattinson just need to execute the fundamentals well and maybe bring his own little spin to the mix.

Besides, no movie Batman will ever beat Kevin Conroy.

Yeah, as I said, I'm quite optimistic for Battinson.

I'm rather partial to the practical-minded, built-from-spare-tech suits of Nolan/Bale movies myself. I like how they explained where the tech came from and how they functioned. It's like watching James Bond getting geared up while Q watches. Maybe I'm just partial to cool tech in general.

Of course but kevin conroy is just a voice actor. not someone who play Batman role in any movie.

Mask Of Phantasm is basically a superior Batman Returns, follows all the same beats but with better writing and adherence to the source materiel, while simultaneously doing it's own thing.

Batman Returns is still a blast and one of the weirdest anti-Christmas movies made, but yea, MOTP is basically getting the recognition is deserves now.

The Dark Knight Parts 1/2 is also pretty great. While Mask Of The Phantasm is (loosely) a better Batman Returns, TDR is a better Batman VS Superman movie. Nowhere near as good as MOTP, but still one of the better Batman escapades. Certainly better than Zack Syndery boys shite.

Oh joy, another Batman. What are we at now? Five actors? Ten?

...20? Who knows!?

DC has so many great characters. Shit man give me Booster Gold before you give me another Batman. Or Martian Manhunter: The Movie. Or Hawkgirl and Hawkman.

I've watched Mask of the Phantasm twice. It's a seven out of ten for me. Not sure what the fuss is. There were better live action Batman movies. Nerds.

Knowing your taste in movies, they probably starred Robert Lowery or Adam West.

Agreed. We need a Joker'esk movie based on Kite Man, and eventual shift to evil.

I'd like more anti-superhero movies like Watchmen, because superheroes suck and are dumb. I wouldn't even watch, play or read Batman if he had superpowers.

You don't appreciate the whole dynamic of this non-super-powered human being one of the greatest superheroes of all time? Especially in the context of how other superheroes have super-powers?

I really like the Watchmen, I mean... it's not perfect, to be sure. Those slow-mo scene bad-ass scenes betray the source materiel, and translated to screen (particularity the sex scene) maximum cringe.

But largely, it's a great movie that adheres to the source, even if the author is abit of a dickhead about it.

Though your point about "super heroes suck" is largely over-simplified, depends first and foremost on implementation, you can make the dumbest shit amazing with proper execution.

Yeah, the humans' superhuman fighting abilities bothered me. As did the lack of humor, an example being the scene where they save the people from the burning apartment. In the comic, that scene is funny. Still, I was surprised how much they incorporated into this three hour movie, and how well. I was like, "They're really gonna do this part?"

Also, I don't know why Snyder chose to replace the giant space monster with "Dr. Manhattan did it." I felt like the giant space monster made more sense.

That movie irritated me so much. Like I sat and read the comics before the movie came out. And I remember them making Rorscasch seem like a psychopath and cleaving a guy with a butcher knife when it didn't go down like that.

And Nite Owl certainly didn't avenge Rorscasch after he was obliterated. He didn't even see any of that happen.

Watching the Watchmen movie, I felt like everything was Hollywood-washed for the times lol.

Snyder's the opposite of the old days where they didn't give a shit, he reveres the material so much they turn into fanbio movies, where it's basically just him fapping at the characters.

I am willing to give The Batman a chance, it can't be worse than Batman and Robin when it comes to the cast. I only seen Pattinson in Twilight so can't judge him off that.

Presumably this is his stunt double with the cape and eyes possible CGI, or even using deep-fake tech.

I feel like Hollywood will never accept Batman as a fantasy series if they keep putting all this armor on Batman. He can't not wear armor because they would find that too silly. They will never use any of the more fantastic villains, like Clayface, the Ra's al Ghul that truly is immortal, plant-conjuring Poison Ivy, the Bane whose muscles grow ten times in seconds, the Man-Bat who changes back and forth from human to monster or Mister Freeze. It's a shame.

Ahahahah when I knew that "Edward" is going to be Batman I was very disappointed, also it's pretty funny... But who knows? Maybe the movie won't be that bad
