Being an Independent myself I would seriously consider voting for him if he was an Independent but he will never be nominated by the Republican party so it's a mute point.

ron paul has 2 things going against him. 1. he is actually a libertarian. he doesn't believe that we are in a state of war. he would not defend this country. he reminds me of those who were against our involvement in WW2. he would have the rest of the world go up in flames as long as those flames don;t reach here. 2. he doesn't see the threat of radical followers of islam who murder anyone who does bow the knee to allah.

You see, America is insane, having candidates that make perfect sense for this country, in a sane world, would be neck and neck for the presidency.

You people really need to get off the Ron Paul bandwagon. His campaign was dead before it began. Pigs suddenly flying is more believable than him even getting past the 10% mark in the Primaries. And even by some spectacular miracle he did become the next President, he would be just like every other man serving before him. Accomplish a very little in terms of policies. And at the end of the day he's still a politician. Politician's suck. When's the last time you were impressed by a serving politician's accomplishments?...........Exactly.Perhaps it's time to start looking at the SERIOUS contenders. Even if you hate them, the reality is that they will be the main candidates.

I am fascinated by Paul's popularity with the video game/18-30 culture.

Ah yes, good ol' Ron Paul. The man is the second coming of Jesus, according to internet chatrooms... but I have yet to see a single poll of likely voters where he beats Giuliani, Thompson, McCain, Romney, or even Huckabee. The key phrase is "likely voters". RON PAUL - the choice of children and people too lazy to vote!

I kill innocent civilians:lol: I know what you mean but helping Bin laden are we referring to the first Afghan war? Then yes I agree we most definitely helped him. If your referring to this baseless claims about the inside job on 911 booo and it does mean a lot to people like me who knew somebody that was in the Twin Towers, I say it means a lot how could it not?

Hrm. 4.3 million in one day online, completely owns everyone in 1on1 straw poll wins. Almost 11 mil this quarter so far, beating out every other republican in fundraising last quarter with a month left to go. Most money from the millitary. His supporters have placed their own ads on radio, tv and in newspapers. One supporter paid 85k of his own money to put an ad in usa today. Most meetup members, most hits on youtube. Nowthey are about to fly the first ever presidential BLIMP.

Tell me why he cant win again? Oh right phone polls...

Like this one? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPpCvF7N3Vg

Kinda hard to be up in the polls when your name isnt on the poll in the first place.

For the last time, Paul isnt an isolationist. Bush is. Unjustified wars make people hate you.

Non-interventionism != isolationism.

Yes, Paul is my man, and yes he CAN win.

Money ill-gotten because he hasn't declared that he wants to run for president yet so he doesn't have to release information on how he's getting his money. I've seen the demographs of who supports ron paul and unsurprisingly it's younger people, people who not only are quick to pick up on fads, but don't vote as often as they should. Guess what that means....he's not getting elected.

Do you really want somebody that shady for president?

You can see his campaign finances in real time on his website. Nothing shady there.

I want a candidate who will end the war on drugs, the illegal occupation of iraq, let me opt out of social security, which won't be there for me when I retire anyway, and practice sound economic policies, and end governmnet intrusion on our lives, oh and against internet regulation.

That's Ron Paul

well that's a contradiction :? He's a libertarian, all for small gov't, while liberals are for big government that controls our lives.

The thing I'm voting on, is whether the candidate agrees with the Fair Tax Bill.

Any canidate that will legalize it is a good one. Plus that fact that he's conservative is sick, as I am too.

We can't have a liberal now. We need to leave Iraq with dignity which a guy like Ron Paul could do.

i dont know about going as far to say he's going to save America...he's probably the candidate i'm going to vote for...being against the war since the beginning is largest reason...i hate the democrats that signed away to go to war and then just sit and complain... i also respect his stance on abortion probably more than any other candidate that's pro life or pro choice for being an OBGYN for all those years, probably has more knowledge on what should be done more than everyone in Washington combined.

Why dont people give a crap about Kucinich? He's awesome, he'd be a much better president than Ron Paul, Or Hilary, or just about anyone. I hate how people value a candidate based on if they would sit donw and have a beer with you. Dammit, Kucinich should be the next President......

So what's the whole NAFTA Superhighway that he is so worried about?Cube_of_MooN

Its a super highway going from Mexico through the US, into Canada. It would essentially join all three countries just for the sole purpose of trade. It would also supply our country with endless illegals, and would strip us of our soveirgnty,
