Now here's a random question I would like to know deeper. In order to complete a role-playing game completely - 100% - does that mean you have to get yourself the game guide for it to make that happen?

There are usually guides on gamespot/gamefaq's that are good enough. Even though i don't understand why you would want to finish it 100%.

The whole 100% finish thing is a pretty recent development. The games that use it (I'm looking at you, Final Fantasy) typically require you to either explore so relentlessly thoroughly or stumble across such an obscure or random sequence of events and to make it pretty much impossible without some sort of guide. Then again, maybe people out there are finishing this stuff and I'm just a slow RPG gamer. If they are, I don't envy them.

I generally find gamefaqs to be more indepth than game guides.

Back in the day I use to try this with every game---talking about 20 years ago--but now with no time to game really I am just happy to be able to finish a game. That said, if you have mega time on your hands you don't necessarily need a guide. Just look at all the GF users who write guides themselves.
