Unlucky England, but it's over now and the trophy is now South africas. They put up a good fight but couldn't make it.

Final score - ENG - 6 SA - 15

Well done to South Africa but unlucky that the try wasn't allowed.

What are your thoughts on this world cup?

For me I did'nt get much enjoyment , seeing as Ireland went out in the group stages , and they should have done better. But all credit to SA , they played very well throughout , England were unlucky though with that try descision , his left leg was up when the ball touched the line , and I can only imagine how the players feel about such a dodgy descision in the final ...

South Africa were the better side - although England had some shine sof brilliance. Could ahve been a different story if that try was allowed

I agree, they must have felt cheated, atleast for moral points.

Also England didn't pick up on the fact that they had amazing line outs, and not to kick it back to them but to drive forward. Some silly descisions from the ref.

It was a draw since no one scored a try. What a boring version of rugby. >_>

Well done South Africa!

England once again showed a terrible tendancy to play boring, bland rugby. The few times the action picked up it was always ended by a kick into touch by both sides. However the finals do tend to be defensive games, as the stakes are the highest in the world :)

The third place playoff between Argentina and France was how rugby should be and stands out as one of the best matches of the tournament. Overall though it was a great spectator tournament, with countless upsets and underdogs raising the bar against more traditional teams. Hat's off to Tonga and Argentina.

Looking forward to the next world cup in New Zealand.
