Mexico's Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that all 31 states must recognize same-sex marriages performed in the capital, though its decision does not force those states to begin marrying gay couples in their territory. In a 9-2 decision, the tribunal cited an article of the constitution requiring states to recognize legal contracts drawn up elsewhere. SOURCE
How is Mexico ahead of the game? It's MEXICO, for God's sake.scorch-62
More surprisingly, how is South Africa ahead of the game?

There are many conservatives here in Mexico, but they tend to forget about homosexuals due to the fact that this country has a bigger problem right now. This country has to deal with strong and fierce drug cartels. I'm glad that homosexual marriage is now completely legal. :)I thought Mexico was hardcore Roman Catholic? I'm really surprised to hear this.
