So you guys think theres something here or just bs? I know its embarrasing to say this but I think this is strange to say the least.

VERY strange. This is even more convincing to me. Just like the Batman and Sikh Temple shootings, lots of evidence of multiple shooters-

Woah, it's as if they used a real map.stanleycup98
I've been trying to find a place that matches the map from TDKR, using mapquest. Do you know where the map is from? I'm looking in the NY Metro area, since Gotham is based on NYC. I'm using the names of the streets that can be seen on the map in the movie, as well as the bridge, "Sandy Hook Bridge," which can be seen in high-res screen captures of that scene in the movie. I believe that Robin saves 20 kids and has them on the bus, attempting to cross that bridge. I could be wrong, as there were a lot of bridges off the Island in the movie. There is a place called Sandy Hook Bay in Jersey, south of Queens/Kings.. but nothing matches up with the street layout or names from the movie. The topography is totally different as well. Any ideas?

The maps of Gotham don't sync up with maps of NYC anyway. Originally Gotham was actually based on Chicago not NYC anyway. Furthermore Hook is an incredibly common name when used to describe areas and Sandy is a descriptor. Also saw the original thread on /x/ about this. Started as a joke lol.[QUOTE="stanleycup98"]Woah, it's as if they used a real map.hartsickdiscipl

sandy hook is a location that exists in dc comics universe, so...

But why choose a target based off a movie?[QUOTE="hartsickdiscipl"][QUOTE="dave123321"] So what was the point of advertising the plan?dave123321

But why choose a target based off a movie?Good question. I've read a couple of posters on other forums saying that Robin had 20 kids on that bus. I'm still waiting for my friend with TDKR Blu-ray to confirm or disprove this for me. If that is the case, that would be very bizarre to me, in combination with the Sandy Hook "strike zone" on the map.

Seems like a poor decision to base a plan on such a popular movie. Why risk people finding out?[QUOTE="hartsickdiscipl"]

I just went to the DC comics wikia and did a search for "sandy hook." The only reference I found was from "Shadow" Vol. 1 11, which is talking about Sandy Hook lighthouse. That's a real life lighthouse in NJ. Are there other references?

I'm not convinced that there is anything to this just yet, but I'm not going to arrogantly dismiss the idea.

And what would this 'something' be?Perhaps an example of predictive programming, like the numerous examples related to 9/11 attack on the twin towers.

Still don't get why they would do it this way.Predictive programming is one possible motive. There is no better way to accomplish it than through popular media. For example- In early 2001, the X-files spin-off tv show "The Lone Gunmen" featured a plane flying into the World Trade Center as a false flag event to trigger ongoing overseas warmongering by the US. The whole event was meant to kick-start the military industrial complex. Sound familiar?
"A perfectly healthy human mind can trick itself into seeing things that are not there, and new research has exposed exactly the sort of conditions under which that happens. It turns out that the less control a person feels, the more likely they are to see patterns or make connections that don't exist."
One of the greatest weaknesses of the human mind. Sometimes instead of looking for deeper meanings and trying to justify them, you just need to relax and come to accept that some idiot shot up a school because of his own personal issues. It had nothing to do with the supposed "Illumunati" or some Hollywood movie.

Ah...you still are nuttier then fruitcake. Good to know OT is the same.It is just a coincidence. Sandy Hook is the name of a real world barrier that exists between New Jersey and New york. Gotham City has always been based on NYC, so the creators use real world landmarks in and around that area, to give their fictional city some credibility. Also, there are several places called 'Sandy Hook' so I do not sense any conspiracy here.
