He shows you how to do it, besides I didn't study for the SAT and I don't you should waste your time studying for it either.

It's 8 but I had to think about that hard. I'm not very good at visualising subtraction and addition using negative numbers in my head, I needed to write it down.

what did you get on it?

510 verbal, 510 math, 530 essay...which is a 1550. But I had the mentality that the test was stupid to begin with in determining what colleges you get into. I got into the college I wanted to which is in the top 100 benedictine colleges in the US.

on the old 1600 point scale or new 2400 point scale? I agree, the SAT is a stupid way of determining who gets into college, but to get into a top 25 or so school you need to do damn good on it... so its not a waste to study for it.

Dunno when did the new scale come out? I took it in 2006 sometime in November I believe.

I just looked SATs up. It just seems unbelievably crazy to me. Surely it has nothing to do with how well you know the subject you want to study. This is one more reason why I'm ecstatic that I don't live in America.

Oh ok. I think that was the first year they had the new one... So out of 2400... I was gonna say... if you got 1550/1600 without studying.... wow. Thats the 99 percentile.

As I remember now I took it at the perfect time because the college I'm in now didn't even look at the writing section back then until the year after I got here. I got accepted at Pitt and other places but sadly I mad the fateful decision to go to a benedictine college which I now hate.
