I dont understand all this "Save the Earth." Do people really think our planet is in trouble. It isnt. We are in trouble. Humanity. Not the planet. The planet has been through MUCH worse than, for example, global warming. A huge astroid striked if for crying out loud and killed almost everything. And look at it now. We could do everything to try and kill the planet, and it wouldnt work. The only thing we are killing is ourselves and some plant and animal life. We need to save "ourselves" not the planet.

Technically correct, though when people talk about saving the plant they are talking about it's current ecosystem.

at our current rate of doing things we are in the crap...we cant save the earth indefinatly, but we can prolong how long it lasts

Maybe the ecosystem, but not the earth. The earth, by our means, is indestructible. The only thing that can destroy the earth is our sun. Or a planet sized asteroid. Only a major cosmic event can off our earth.
Earth is doomed already. People know they are going to die before anything happens to them so we do nothing. its the futur that will sufferGsSanAndreas
