Probably not...the first one was pretty good, if you were willing to believe a few bizarre things...but the next two were just gory. Somehow, I doubt that the writers had a change of heart in the entire year they had between the third and fourth.
How is there a sequel if jigsaw is dead, all saw movies suck except the 1st. Maybe if they had a good director they would be ok. But right now its jsut torture porn that thinks its being smart when really its not at all.

I know some people don't like the 'so it has no plot, and?' deal, but meh..if I watch a comedy I won't expect supreme acting and a shakespearean play, I just wanna laugh. If I see a Saw movie, let me see clever traps and people dying gorily. >_>

Yeah I remember a friend of mine told me that Hostel was awesome and all kinds of stuff along those lines so he finally let me borrow his DVD. I thought the movie was extremely boring and one of the most pointless movies I had seen in quite a long time.

How are the Saw movies "Torture porn".....?
Saw 1 isnt, but the others are all mostly based around traps that get more and more over the top and disturbing as the movie goes on. Like the needle pit, The story is pretty crappy so thats pretty much all the series has going for it now.
Saw 1 was amazing but 2 and 3 were ok. part 2 being the worst in my opinion. I hope Saw 4 won't dissapoint me.reservoir_doggy
I think they are milking the series way too much. I loved the twist ending of saw 1. If it ended that way with no sequels then it would have been awesome.
the scenes i have seen are very gruesome. I hated saw III when it just seemed to be pushing gore for no real reason. I thought the first 2 saw's were original and entertaining. I hope this fourth one doesn't blow...but my expectations are low.
