Scarlett Johansson... Sings!

So, miss Scarlet is throwing her hat into the singing arena. Has anyone heard the first track from her album yet? It's called "Falling Down", a cover performed by Tom Waits. I really disliked it at first. It's... unusual. But it's really grown on me.

It probably was. Tom Waits is relatively unknown except in circles of musicians. Didn't have any real mainstream success but has really influenced generations of musicians. He is really known for his musical stylings in that they sort of take on a "dark carnival" feel. Take carnival music (already creepy right?) then slow it down and use minor notes. Suddenly it's creepier!

The music is dark, but kind of genious at the same time.

Figured you could use a base of comparison. I think that one of the biggest reasons there was no big commercial success for Tom Waits is his signature voice. It is by far the roughest sounding voice I've ever enjoyed listening to.
