Schizophrenics do have a high rate of smoking. Although it does not cause schizophrenia. Nicotine decreases the amount of auditory hallucinations they have so they will usually smoke like chimneys
In the case of marijuana smoking in can cause earlier onset but does not cause schizophrenia

A doctor in a field can be a scientist. Like a someone with a PhD in Psychology is considered a scientist but you still call them doctor
