What do you think of this religion turned business? I don't take much issue with their core beliefs, but making people pay for divine intervention is low.... What is your take on this? I'm against it
Scientology has more of a cult following. There are many people who have been in it and gotten out and talked about the horrible things that go on inside. Also, there have been many accounts of people joining scientology and vanishing when they try to leave the church. So yeah, not so good.

Religions are at their lowest when the people following said religion spend more time pushing their religion on other people then strengthening their own beliefs. Scientology is no exception. They even frigging advertise their religion on TV like it's some product. That's pathetic. Yes other religions do this, but not so blatantly as I've seen the Scientology CULT doing it. There isn't one religion I myself can think of that advocates strongly free thought, almost all religions that I can think of tell you to shut up and believe without question. Some are more subtle and gentle about it however. Scientology is no exception. And let's face it Scientologists are way up in the list for spending more time telling others their religion is the way to go than fortifying their own faith and not worrying about what others think. So Scientology is bad to me just like other religions.

Most institutionalized religions are businesses designed solely to profit off the gullible. That's how its always been.
But in the case of Scientology, its more about public image than it is "saving" yourself.

That was well said and true, and indisputable. That's why until and unless I move to Tibet and become a monk, I'm a hardcore atheist. I'm not worried about going to hell either, because this planet with it's Britney Spears Paris Hiltons and giant barrage of universally accepted mediocrity IS hell. It can't get any worse when you die haha.

That's not even the worst of it. Operation Snow White always makes me shudder.
Scientology and it's followers are terible. Usually their followers are those types that believe that there is a mass coverup and everyoen is against them.
