He is gone. Fidel has resigned? I am glad this guy is a wreck. I have been hearing in the news Cubans are excited about the possibility of freedom. We will see. I know there are a bunch of commies that like him so I am wondering who is happy and who is upset?

i think his brother will take over, so we'll see the same cuba for a while, but he is old too, so once he dies, resigns, whatever, then we might see some change

I spoke to my friend about this situation this morning. Her parents are from Cuba (her father actually spent some time in jail there for trying to come to America, he finally made it), and she still has family over there. She told me that they all believe that it will be the same old thing. They think that he will still be calling the shots, and that his "plan" will still be in effect long after he and his brother are gone. I'm not so sure that it is time to raise the Cuba Libre's in celebration just yet.

I have read most of the same. Hopefully the people will be able to make their voice heard.

You guys should play Ghost Recon: Island Thunder/Jungle Storm. A game that takes place in Post-Castro Cuba.

He should have kept going until he was a minute from dieing... then as he was dieing he would flip the bird to all the American Presidents he lived through. I just find that awesome... 40 some years in power... 9 Presidents, one of which tried to kill him.
