Selling my Wii to a Stranger

Okay so i'm going to be selling my Wii on a free classified ad website that is very popular in my area. Im thinking that the person who would want to buy it would also like me to prove that it works, which is fine. Only problem is that in the e-mail I got from the website it says to not let people into your house. I would also not feel comfortable enough to demo it at their place. I need to sell it cus im strapped for cash. I considered gamestop but they would only give me store credit.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

PS Im kinda paranoid cus I have a brand new 55 inch tv, which is the only one in our house. I dont want to have to demo my wii on it.

I've sold some stuff on craigslist (not much). Nobody ever asked I prove anything worked.

yea i can see why you may feel a bit uncomfortable about this. Maybe you should try selling it online elsewhere. If not, i do like the idea of having other people around you to make sure no funny business happens.

Yeah I live with my brother and another room mate. Its my brothers tv and he said he would not let anybody into our town house. We also have a PS3 and 360 right under the tv. I have no experience with ebay or amazon. Im wondering if they would be more trouble than they were worth for me.

Have one of them holding a metal baseball bat so they understand if they ever set foot on the property again they will leave with only half of their brains.

Edit: Or you could just do it in your garage on an old tv. Duh!

Anyway, I think your best bet would be to use a video camera or regular camera. Maybe I'm paranoid, but I think that if they know where you live/what you have in your house, they may rob you (not during the demonstration, but later on).
