It's coming tomorrow, which is the 11 year anniversary of the WTC going down in New York City and the hit of the Pentagon.
How will you remember this important day in the US?

celebrate lol wtf?
Nothing. I moved on 10 years ago. I'm sick of hearing about it quite frankly. And the heck do you mean by celebrate?
Pirate700
I think he used the wrong word but I still don't get all the 9/11 stuff every year. It's almost become a a holiday like Christmas or Thanksgiving where you're expected to "do something" and there's a week of TV specials on it. Pretty soon we'll be expected to pop the 9/11 turkey in the oven. People need to let it go.celebrate lol wtf?

Well, let's see...
I'll go into work, grab my coffee, proceed with my tasks and duties for 13 hours, go home after, make some dinner, go take the dog for a walk with the girlfriend, maybe watch a movie and then head to bed.
I guess I won't really remember anything regarding 9/11.

They can't it is still ongoing... Every year September 11 rolls around and instead of it just being some other day people stop and think "damn we are still in Afghanistan"...
When that conflict finally comes to a close (just after hell freezes over because we will have thousands of NATO "advisers" in that country forever), people will forget...

Please don't let me suffer every channel on TV having a special about it and some unknown dude presenting it because every known presenter was snapped up by another channel. I don't mind the 2 minutes silence or whatever but that's as far as I am willing to go on remembrance.[QUOTE="almasdeathchild"]

Considering the circumstances, celebrating would make me an enemy of the United States. It's coming tomorrow, which is the 11 year anniversary of the WTC going down in New York City and the hit of the Pentagon.

i'm sure that's how alot of people in the states even feel. the media just keeps uprising itI don't live in the US. So 9/11 rolls under the **** happens" category.

I thought the ten year memorial was an okay time period to remember the fallen firefighters and other service-men and women who lost their lives on that tragic day, but every..bloody..year?! Too. goddamned. often. A family who lost a member of their tribe is allowed to mourn, and mourn as long as they need to, but that doesn't mean an entire nation should do it every single year.[QUOTE="almasdeathchild"]

Yes, it was a tragedy, yes, lots of people died horrifically, yes, many great fire/police/ems service people gave greatly of themselves for no other reason than they were doing their jobs... but really? It's been over a decade now. How many American soldiers have died fighting the war this event started? Why are they not included in the 9/11 whooplah? Zeviander
Because they're soldiers.

The worst attack on this country in our history. I don't see what the big deal is with remembering it each year.

Because no one in Germany celebrates when the Berlin wall fell, no Londoner honours the fallen in the fires of London and many other nations have suffered big if not larger tragedies in the history of their existence. Why should a simple bombing attack on three buildings net in more attention than any other country, just because it happened in the USA?The worst attack on this country in our history. What do I care what other people do and don't celebrate?
We're talking about the USA and Americans. And we weren't bombed, show a little more respect by being accurate. We had airplanes flown into two of our sky scrapers.

Haha, you won't show respect to the fallen of other nations, but I have to be more respectful? Get over yourself. Arrogant American child.[QUOTE="airshocker"]Because no one in Germany celebrates when the Berlin wall fell, no Londoner honours the fallen in the fires of London and many other nations have suffered big if not larger tragedies in the history of their existence. I'll be remembering the wars that followed it and that killed hundreds of thousands of innocents more.kuraimen

How am I not showing respect? None of those are my countries. I'm not asking other countries to remember 9/11, couldn't care less what they do. You, however, are being disrespectful to us by not representing what happened on 9/11 accurately.
You're the only arrogant one here.

Hundreds of thousands of innocents killed in the war, 9/11 was a bombing...WTF are some of you talking about?
Whats there to not understand? After 9/11 America and the U.K fabricated a reason to invade Iraq... and in the process are crippling their economies and sending their own people and the civilians of Iraq to their deaths by the thousands....[QUOTE="Pirate700"][QUOTE="SteverXIII"]SteverXIII
