In september there is going to be about 10 note-worthy metal albums released. Even if all these bands aren't your favorite, there is something on there for all metal heads.

Spet. 8- 3 Inches Of Blood- Here Waits Thy Doom

Ensiferum- From Afar

Sept. 15- Black Dahlia Murder- Deflorate

Dying Fe**s- Descend Into Depravity

Megadeth- Endgame

Every Time I Die- New Junk Aesthetic

Shadows Fall- Retribution

Porcupine Tree- The Incident

Ministry- The Last Dubber

Sept. 22- Vader- Necropolis

Sonata Arctica- The days Of Grays

Sept. 24- Marduk- Wormwood

Sept. 28- ARch Enemy- The Root Of All Evil

Sept. 29- Alice In Chains- Black Gives Way To Blue

DETHKLOK- Deth Album II

Hatebreed- Hatebreed

So OT which ones are you picking up? I am getting 3IOB, BDM, 'Deth, AIC and Dethklok

You're forgetting about this one, which also happens to be my most anticipated.

Megadeth and Alice in Chains for sure. I can't wait for Slayer's new album. Just read about it in Guitar World, and it sounds awesome.

Alice in Chains isn't metal, unless they changed after LS died. None of that really interests me, I'm looking forward to Slayer's new album, you know its going to be good going by the name "World Painted Blood"

I figured "Rocktober" would be a better month because Brutal Legend is coming out :D But that is a sweet line-up.

I can't wait for "Black Gives Way To Blue." I constantly listen to "A Looking In View" and "Check My Brain" in my car.

Alice in Chains isn't metal, kool-aids

What makes you say that?

It's grunge, or at least it was when Layne Staley was in the band.

while technically true, they are as close to metal as hard rock can be and I know lots of people on here like them. Also, I don't like Slayer's new albums as much as their old ones, Tom Araya isn't a very good singer anymore, IMO. We will see soon how it is though.

True about Araya, his yelling in his early days caught up with him, but it's still good stuff.

No, it isn't. Soundgarden, Mudhoney, Green River and Pearl Jam are grunge. Alice in Chains may be similar, and yes, they began making music and performing around the time grunge came onto the scene in Seattle... but they aren't grunge entirely... they are very much a metal band. Anyone who has listened to their entire discography along with Soundgarden, Mudhoney and other truly "grunge" bands can tell the difference.

You could make an argument for all those other bands that you listed being a metal band. If AIC isnt grunge, then i dont know what is!

Been saying that for a while now, but I will probably be broke so all money goes towards The Incident and Endgame.

I'm more excited for Between the Buried and Me's new album in October.

Some good bands on this list, though.

I'll check out quite a few of these, but I'm most excited about Megadeth, Dying Fetus, Arch Enemy and Dethklok.

Not saying I'll purchase a hard copy of them all, though.
