I've never understood this, and I'm interested in hearing one rational explanation.
I mean, for example, just now a HUGE roach ran across my floor. Did I run? No. I jumped up and beat its ass to death. Now it's dead, and I'm about to eat a delicious burrito. So what's the problem?
Now, some people say that we have a subconscious fear of bugs that dates back millions of years to before human beings even existed.
But I'm even skeptical about that. Because my cat likes to eat bugs. My dog likes to eat bugs.Monkeys eat bugs. Chimps eat bugsw, and they're our closest living relatives.
So howe is it that even our closest ape ancestors eat bugas for breakfast, yet we're so afraid of bugs that insead of killing them we let them get away so that they can creep us out later?
I just don't understand it. They weigh about as much as a sunflower seed. Just **** them up and go back to whatever it is that you were doing. Is there actually a RATIONAL reason why people tend to be disgusted by anything with more than four legs?
