I currently have a Linksys WRT-160N router in my basement which has a 15gb cable internet modem plugged directly into it. I have one Xbox 360 hard wired directly to the Linksys. I also have 2 laptops, an Imac, another Xbox 360, and a Wii all running wirelessly to the Linksys. Problem is, my Xbox 360 that is running wireless has a brutal connection so I want to install a wireless access point upstairs. I have an old D-Link router that I am planning on using as the WAP. My question is, does anyone know how to do this?

By thoe sound of it you just need to daisy chain your routers with some Cat5.

Too far away, Linsys is in the basement and Dlink will be on the main floor.
