My school has a rule that guys have to have short hair and girls can have any sort of hair
as long as its natura; colouring,
I was just wondering if this is legal or if its classed as sexism??

Jesus had long hair, as did many/most people during biblical times. use that to prove that it is actually Anti-Christian, not to have long hair in order to honour the Holy Fathers of the Church.obsolete2k1The Bible never mentioned the length of Jesus's hair.
In my school guys arent allowed to wear two earings but girls can and they can only be studs whilist girls can wear hoops and all other types i dont know about, does affect me but it does with some guys in my school!

They can do whatever they want as long as the school is private. Even public schools have increasingly strict dress codes. My old high school had polos, khakis, and no hoodies placed into their dress code this year, no hoodies is kind of ridiculous though.Tiefster
The horror, in the UK state schools uniforms are required.
In fact in my first primary school, not only did the uniform include the classic blazer and tie combo, but boys had to wear a maroon and green hat, while the girls had to wear a straw hat in the summer and a red hat in the winter.

Wow that sounds tacky and awful. I went through school wearing UFOs and metal band shirts.[QUOTE="Tiefster"]They can do whatever they want as long as the school is private. Wow, hats? That's a bit much. I mean, unless you guys had to wear the hats inside (something that's against dress code in almost all US schools) you would have never been seen without your hat on by the school except for like the half minute you spent walking into the school and the half minute you spent walking out.
Anyway, I always liked uniforms. As someone who has always been fashion-impaired uniforms saved me the hassle of picking out clothes in the morning and avoiding the social pitfall of clothes choice that I always fell prey to in non-uniform schools.
Well normally you have to abide to the institution's internal rules. I had the same problem in high school with long hair. The principal was angry with me and told me numerous times to get a haircut or she'll expel me.
After a dozen or so times, she was really getting on my nerves. Apparently, every time she pissed me off, a lab computer's HD would get it's windows wiped and a unix-based OS installed. She kinda dropped the case after a year or so.
