For males only..

I was having this discussion with some friends of mine today and I amtaking a poll of how men would answer this question...

If a male employee or supervisor harassed you sexually in the workplace, would you handle it yourself (basically so no one else would find out) or would you file a complaint, basically meaning everybody at the job will hear about it..

Handle it yourself and if violence happens , you could lose your job.

Keep it to yourself. They them that you are not interested and pray it goes away.

Nothing that direct. Anything like that you got to smack them. Forget the job.. I mean a man hitting on you like one would hit on a chick. Most of my friends say forget the job, but what if you could lose the job like that. Making money is more important I think.

being hit on isnt sexual harassment, its just human nature, i'd tell him i'm flattered but not interested and to have someone lose a job over something so petty is pretty pathetic, its not like he groped me but even then it would have to be recurring thing after i told him thats not how i swing

Well, that depends on what they do....If its something that has gotten out of hand, then yes I will go to human resources, because probably by then I would highly dislike them and not care what else happened as long as they were punished some how.

These days sexual harrasment could be anywhere from rape to making a penis joke. Really needs to be defined before discussion.

If it was a matter I thought was important to call harassment... then I would take the matter to my direct supervisor. If it WAS him, then I'd go to his boss. If he was the highest person I could go to (small business) then I'd probably drop it and quit the job.

Someone at my work got in trouble for making a joke about my top matching my underwear - which we all laughed about. I am so pissed at the person who reported that because that person didnt get the origin of the joke.

I'll ignore it if he goes away after I tell him I'm straight.
