I used to like them when I was in middle school before I got into metal. They helped me get into the real deal so I have some respect for them, but they've definitely gone downhill recently. They've always had competent musicianship but their songwriting and vocals were always terrible to mediocre. The new stuff looks to be going down that new path they made for themselves with "Threads Of Life" or whatever the CD is called (which I luckily didn't buy; sounded horrible when I demoed it).
Their best album is The Art Of Balance, and after The War Within I stopped listening to them (I bought the Fallout From The War CD since it was basically The War Within v2.0, but was pretty disappointed).

I find Somber Eyes To The Sky to be their best. This, Of One Blood, or The Art Of Balance. Their older material had a lot of thrash elements so it was pretty interesting. The War Within has a few good songs, but isn't that impressive as a whole...
