Should I get a 6" or an 8" memory foam mattress?

The price difference is about $50 and I'm worried if I get the 6" one, it'll be too thin. Any suggestions?

oh, okay. You're talking about the thickness of the mattress. I misread the title as 6" by 8" mattress and thought you meant the length and width of the mattress. I was gonna say that would be a very small mattress, thinking that you mistyped and meant to put 6' by 8' mattress.
