Right, I know that there are LOADS of threads about this but I need help with my own situation. Currently, I have a 28" 576i tv with my Ps3 hooked up to it. The graphics don't look bad, just not as good as they could be. So, I was thinking about maybe upgrading to a 32" 720p hdtv but I just wanted to know if the upgrade would actually make a LARGE difference in PS3 gaming. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks ;)

Yes, it would make a big difference... and I think, since the price of HDTVs has dropped considerably, I can recommend it without any doubt.

I switched and honestly, I can't go back to SD. The difference is noticeable. But I don't see as big of a change in how good a game looks in HD on my PS3 as I did with my X360. I think it's because most PS3 games only go to 720p and I have a 1080p. But yeah, it's worth it to change if you have the money.

yes, ive had a hdtv for about eight months now. it is a must for me not only for games but if you have a ps3 blurays look so good in hd. but mainly games like cod4, msg4, when resistance comes out, etc. anyway i would say it is well worth it.

your also getting the most out of your ps3 when you have an hdtv

Yes it's worth it.

You won't notice a HUGE difference at first, but trust me, try going back to sd after switching. It's nearly impossible.

It's just that some people say that unless I'm improving to a much bigger screen size instead of just 28" SD to 32" HD I won't notice much of a difference. I wish I could just see it ya know...so that then I could decide...

Go to Best Buy or Circuit City or some place like that and look at their TV's. They usually have a comparison section. Basically it just makes everything look better. It's all about clarity. You might want to get a bigger TV though. It will look better than your SD TV regardless, but bigger is better

You wouldn't need anything larger than 32" for 720p. I don't think so anyway.

yes, i remember first getting my 360 hooked up to my 23" Samsung, i was very impressed. Honestly, a good tv with a console looks great, and it might not seem major at first, but playing on SD isnt the same again.HD movies are great too.

and, dont go for the cheapest screen you can find, stick with the well known and trusted brands, you will get better image quality and it will end up being more reliable and you will enjoy it more. (Sony, Samsung, LG, Toshiba, Sharp, Phillips, Panasonic, Maybe others that i cant think of right now)
