I'm not much of a GPA student at my school, so my school can't allow me to get a job until I raise them up a full symester, but I know the manager at Burger King that could give a job as a cashier legally even if the school notices. Should I go for it or should I wait til next year (next symester) to raise my grades and try to apply for some place other than fast food like Target or Best Buy?
No, I worked at BK for two weeks. It sucks. The last time I went to a BK, the night manager was talking to a customer about the BK "education" fund for employees. Her response was, "I been working here for 15 years and I aint seen no money for school". :shock: Don't end up like that.

Take whatever is available and make sure it does not affect your grades. School if first always.
If it is a cashier job and you need money then go for it. I worked in the kitchen of a fast food restaruant and it was hell. I am now a cashier and it is a lot better
Personally, I don't want to know what they do with food at fast food places, plus there are better places. Although I do have to ask how your school can keep you from working at certain locations.
