I think most of us don't live any were near each other, and the ration of male to female is way off. Besides most of us are young and if we're looking then we should be able to find dates on our own.

Bold idea, but I personally think we're better off without it...

1. The ratio of male-to-female members is too great. As someone said before, there'd be about 100 guys chasing just the one girl.

2. There are already dedicated dating websites purely for gamers. There was a video from the GSAU team about it, posted a few weeks back.

3. Dating sites legally require you to be 18, while Gamespot is for those aged 13 and older. Sure, you could seal off the dating section alone, restricting it to those aged 18 and over, but there would probably be kids who would put in a fake age, etc. if only in order to get access.

4. I personally believe it would draw some of the "professionalism" away from the site. People would be posting inappropriate messages towards each other, and frankly, I think it'd probably be more chaotic as time went on.

5. If two members on Gamespot feel that they're getting that special "connection" and would like to take it one step further, what's stopping them from sending them a PM or asking for their Facebook account?

It's just what this site has always needed!
