Since the dollar is declining, should the states just completely switch to Euro and disband the dollar?

ROTFL!

I'm sorry, first of all, if the US was to disband the dollar and adopt the Euro, the Euro's worth would decline.

And 2nd of all, the US is not in the EU or located in Europe and is the sole remaining super power. I highly doubt it would allow itself to become a laughing stock by using another group of nations' currency.

absolutely not. Thats one of the worst ideas ive ever heard.

Its not just a form of money, you should probably research how finance works and shapes societies.

In the end result, it would make us under european rule. which is exactly what we fought against. We didnt just fight against british rule, we didnt want anything to do with europe after winning the war other than trade.

Can't see it happening. Also can't see the US, Mexico, and Canada combining to become one country.

Nothing is stoping you from switching to the euro. There's even a few places in new york that accept it. There's plenty of countries across the world that prefer to use the US dollar over their own currency.

I think they should just combine currencies with Canada. That would work better, seeing as the US isn't in Europe...

the dollar is declining, yes, but it will NOT keep on declining. second, we absolutely have to keep the dollar because expansion of credit is quintessential to the maintanance of our economy, and this is simply not possible if the central bank cannot expand credit to lesser regional or local banks & creditors

Sorry to nitpick, but you certainly have a convincing argument right there. How can anyone disprove those facts you mentioned?
