Should we close the border?

Am I the only one who believe the U.S. is practically biased about the topic? I mean the coutry was "founded" by white immigrants? Why were they better than current non-caucasian immigrants?

being from canada i cant really vote, but if i were american, then 100% no. close the border? thats insane, and it would never happen, for so many reasons, not just racism

Yup, and look at any other nation in the world, they have "real borders" that are actually closed complete with fences/walls and armed patrol, there is a wrong way to enter a country, and then there is the right way . I am all for giving people a chance to better their lives, as long as they enter the country legally and follow our rules and laws; rules and laws that have protected this country and made it what it is today.

Closed, as in actually make it a real border that no one can cross without proper documentation or by going through the proper channels? Or "closed" as in put a hold on immigration, not allowing anymore people into the country?

Well most caucasian are of EUROPEAN descent originally the Americas and Australia were FULL of what are now considered minorities. Unfortunately, the unnecasarry killing of these people caused them to become less abundant

No, we should work towards making legal immigratin an option so that these immigrants can pay taxes instead of us just pretending we can keep the legal immigration process too difficult for people to move here.

Tribes destroying, conquering, and enslaving each other in competition over resources and territory. Get off your high horse and go learn that basic human nature is applicable everywhere people exist and is never isolated to any single ethnic group.

i dont have a problem with any other race or kind of person because of it but if we are in such a need of jobs then why are we letting jose rodriguez who no hablo ingles have it then your average guy who rightfully lives here, if they go through the whole green card system and all that jazz they're quite welcome but that's just my opinion

TC do you honestly believe times are the same? The Us is one of the most populated countries in the world right now and I believe it's forecasted that you are going to have a 10% unemployment rate this year accepting more immigrants at this point in time will probaby make things worse.

We should allow Legal immigrants of all race who meet the criteria, but illegal immigrants should not be allowed the same benefits. We should keep the border open to legals.

Another thing, illegal immigrants aren't the only ones who drink and drive or commit murder. If anything, I'd say good 'ol legal US cititzens kill far more people in those two categories than illegals.
