When we've searched every inch of the universe and found nothing, bump this thread with a big "I told you so."

Since that's never going to happen, this thread is pointless...

We've searched like .000000000000000000001% that should be plenty, we can give up now!

There's at least one thing I can confirm, but I'd get moderated if I said it.

In the meantime, saying we've discovered all we can is like saying we looked all over the planet when we haven't left the bathroom.

Plus if you believe in the UFO (alien) stories then they've already found us.

Seeing as we've only searched a tiny fraction of space, and that thousands of other planets similar to Earth exist, its highly unlikely that life doesn't exist anywhere else in the universe.

Well considering that we have never been past our own solar system... then no... we shouldn't confirm that.
We are just one solar system out of billions, in one galaxy out of billions... so why should we confirm this?!!?!:?

I think it's ignorant to say that there is no extra terrestrial life, as we haven't seen all of space. Hell, we've only seen 15% of the world oceans, we could have other life on our own planet we don't know about.

Read it in a book written by a guy who does shark documentaries, he also wrote the BOOK jaws. I trust the source though.

And, we have been in only 2% of the ocean.

we havn't left our solar system, theirs a 100 billion stars in our galaxy and 100 million other galaxies.. we havn't seen anything yet. our telescopes cant see if theirs lives on other planets.. we can only see planets circling around other stars as black dots as shadows..

your position is of ignorance.

would you like to point out how you got those numbers and why you think theres 100 million galaxies without a star?

Of course their are aliens. Their are billions of stars and many of them are bound to have planets. Eventually we will come across a planet capable of sustaining life. I doubt it will be anytime soon.

id suggeest you pick up a book on space exploration....most of the stars you see is simply light travelling over a huge distance. we have no way of telling if those stars are even there anymore because it takes so long for the light to travel. it would be highly arrogant to assume there is no such thing as space or that there is no life outside of our planet.

and to bring the above comment into a better perspective, its not like saying theres no such thing as lions and only searching alabama...its like saying theres no lions and not even opening your eyes to search for one.

Aliens don't come from outer space. They come from other dimensions.

Are you saying human knowledge is an absolute authority over reality and that by now we know everything there is to know? That's a really arrogant and self deceptive way of thinking.

my question was "would you like to point out how you got those numbers and why you think theres 100 million galaxies without a star?"

I wasnt asking about the speed of light and how many stars we see arent actually there anymore.

Although I believe that the universe is too vast to say there isn't any intellegent life, I think it's a waste of time due to how far away other solar systems are from Earth.
