I just saw this trailer for the first time last night at GI Joe (horrible by the way :P ). Sorry if this is old, but it looks amazing. Martin Scorsese is one of my favorite directors, and I'm really looking foreword to this movie. Hope to see it opening day.

Come on, I can't possibly be the only one who's excited for this movie. :(

Oh that movie. It looks like it could be good if done well. I like the concept, however given the way things have been with movies I'm not going to get my hopes up.

Well, it's Scorsese, so I'm hoping it will be done well. He has quite a reputation. Leo is a pretty good actor too, so I'm excited to see how it turns out.

It looks really good, I love mental institutions in movies. This looks like it has a lot of potential.

I just hate trailers in general, everytime I watch one I just think about the idiotic Hollywood producers who threw some **** together they thought would draw in audiences and call it a day.

I like Scorsese and DiCaprio but I think the accent he is doing is horrendous. I'll probably still go see it :P

Are you serious? The Departed and The Aviator were great movies, and Gangs of New York was solid. Martin can still make great movies.

I already read the book and therefore I see little reason to go see the movie.

(The book is by the author of two other books which were made into movies, by the way: Mystic River and Gone, Baby, Gone.)

[spoiler] Pretty much. Actually, I don't remember what in particular he did that got him put there, but yeah, he was a patient there all along. Apparently he goes through his spiel as being an investigator there every day, but then he forgets all about it the next day. On the day that the story takes place, the lead doctor decides that all of the staff should play along with his fantasy in an effort to pull him out of it. Towards the end he takes his gun and shoots the doctor, but it's actually a squirt gun.


I guess they really screwed it up by showing too many scenes from later in the movie in the preview, though I sort of had figured out what was going on in the book a little bit early also. I thought it could have used some more misdirection like the novel Sphere had. [/spoiler]

The trailer looks boring to me... But It has Leonardo DiCaprio... So I'll watch it when it comes out on DVD...
