The Simpsons. More than any other show of its type, the Simpsons has proved it has longevity. Family Guy is barely even funny anymore, and has been on for merely a small fraction of the time the Simpsons has been on.
The Simpsons has been consistently good for almost 20 years, Family Guy had a few good episodes in the original couple of seasons, but now their plots are so thin (not to mention stolen/cliche) that they have to insert random jokes every minute that dont derive from the plot in any way. Therefore, Simpsons FTW!
