Has anyone been to Six Flags Magic Mountain? What are you experiences there and what rides do you recommend?

I'll be heading there tomorrow with some friends. This will be my first time attending.

Goliath, Superman The Escape, and my personal favorite X. You have to try X!

I have been there a couple times. The last time was YEARS ago, but I had a blast. You gotta go on Viper for sure. It's a big one that does corkscrews, loops, and stuff like that. If you dont like going upside down, then Ninja is a good one. it goes between the trees, nothing too exciting but somewhat fast. AND there's that big waterpark nextdoor, havent been to it, but i hear its good. Batman is a very short ride, but still not bad. Superman is supposed to be awesome, but I'd expect LONG lines at that one.

have fun! I'm jealous!

I like the Viper, Goliath, Superman the Escape, Deja-Vu, and pretty much most of the roller coasters there. I will warn you of one thing, if you find long lines, try waiting until later for the ride. When I went there I waited for a while to ride Goliath, but later in the day it was a five minute wait time. The only ride you will have to wait for a while guaranteed is the X. The X is an okay ride, but it's more of a gimmick then a good ride.

X is the most amazing ride ever! I suggest TC go to the park early right before it opens and run to the X so they won't have to wait for it later because like you said the line is long all day.

You must go on X2 it is the craziest thing ever. The coaster starts up the track backwards and flips and all this other cra... It's just freakin' awesome. :D Also try Tatsu, if it's still there. It's just like flying. And Goliath for the whole dropping sensation. And keep your arms up!

EDIT: This is pretty much what your experience would be on X: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thSK4tb8siY Warning: Strong language.

I was screaming the exact same thing as this guy, though, because it really doesn't make sense when you're riding it. It's not your typical coaster.

I went to Magic Mountain when I was about 11 and I loved it.

I reccomend Viper, but pretty much any of the big ones are good, especially Joker, Batman, Superman, and most anything else.

Better than Disneyland and Universal Studios in my opinion.

I haven't been to Magic Mountain, but I don't plan on going there soon; I'm not allowed to any Six Flags park until June 3rd, 2010. :(

At about 10pm, we were on the Revolution....when the power went out in the area. The emergency brakes kicked in, and we ended up stuck on the ride for an hour before someone came out with a key to release the seat braces.

That's nothing man. Remember the Batman ride? How you had to walk through the line in those sewer things? The ones that were unbelievably humid? Well, my group had just gotten out of those hot ass things, so we were lucky because I guess some old guy lost his glasses on the ride, so they had to delay it until he found them. I mean, why was he wearing glasses anyway, and what's an old guy doing on a rollercoaster to begin with?! So there was a 20 minute delay and we saw paramedics rushing into the sewers a couple times because I assume some people had passed out from the humidity. Now that would suck.

Don't you mean Riddler's Revenge? That always has a long wait, and is kind of boring in my opinion. The last time I was there was in 8th grade with the school. We were next in line to go on Superman, and it went down for some reason. Then we had to leave because it was taking too long. So uncool because it would have been my first time riding it.

I used to have a season pass and would go at least 3x a week and spam ride Goliath and Batman (I would do Goliath six times in a row for the funnies). Then I was there when X first opened (it wasn't X2 yet) and we waited in line for a while, got on, sat down, and the restraints for my seat and my friends wouldnt go down even after everyone else's did. So the person who worked there was trying to push it down (pressurized) and when he walked away to get some help it just dropped... so me and my friend were like :| wtf.... the person said oh dont worry they're fine... so everyone started cheering when the ride slowly started moving... we rode the ride and it was AMAZING and freaky with the thought that my restraints would undo itself. When we were done and pulled back into the docking bay, it was silence then applause. My favorite six flags memory EVER.
