SlamBall is coming back in 2008!

I was a huge fan of SlamBall when it aired on Spike TV in 2002 and 2003 and I was upset to see it go. Instead of players barely bumping into each other and taking huge exaggerated dives like in basketball, SlamBall has legitimate hitting and is a contact sport. I was just telling my father tonight that I missed SlamBall and I went on Wikipedia where it said that "According to the SlamBall official website, SlamBall will return in August 2008. The league accepted applications through its website for new players and coaches, and tryouts were held in three U.S. cities in April, 2008." I really hope the league takes off and can be a fun summer sport that can air every year. I wouldn't mind seeing SlamBall have a full season on Spike TV every year from June to August, or just July and August. But even if it doesn't do good at least we know the league can return after a long break cause it went off the air after the 2003 season and is coming back 5 years later this summer.

Dude, I used to love Slamball! I pulled for the yellow team, can't remember what they were.

I remember watching that. I used to like the team that was in black and red, forgot what they were called.

They are called the Mob. They were my favorite team as well. This guy Sean "Inches" Jackson was on their team. He was my favorite player.

ya the Chicago Mob were awesome. im really glad to hear its coming back

Wow I remember this,it used to air on TNN right? would be great to see it back on tv.
