Slipknot isnt Nu-Metal

Im a big Slipknot fan and I cant stand it when people call them "Nu-Metal".. Here are some of my reasons why IMO there not Nu- Metal.

1.There is NO rapping in any of their songs except for maybe..Spit it out..Just because corey shouts his words fast doesnt make them rappers. Tom Araya of Slayer shouts his words just as fast if not faster.

2.Nu-Metal bands are characterized by having heavily downtuned guitar and bass with scratching and heavy use of samples..Slipknot only Down tuned their guitars on a couple songs of theredebut album, and just because they have a sampler/keyaboard player and a DJ doesnt mean they arent extremely brutal..Sid and Craig(sampler & DJ) also work to provide the guitar effects not to make "rap" like beats.

3.Name a Nu-Metal band with an image like slipknot..Limp Bizkit, No...Korn, No...Linkin Park, No..

I rest my case

I never considered them Nu-Metal...And although I've only heard a few songs, I'm not a fan of their music.....

1 they are a new metal band

2 their image is the same as mushroomheads
